National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) is a unique institution which fosters and utilizes academic excellence as its resource to meet medical and social goals. It was inaugurated at New Delhi on 19th December 1961 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The first Convocation of the Academy was held on 8th December, 1963 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi and the Convocation Address was delivered by none other than Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India.

The 63^rd annual conference NAMS-2023, is being hosted by Ramaiah Medical College, a constituent college of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, from October 6^th to 8^th, Bengaluru. This conference will cover a wide range of important health domain areas including digital health innovations, health and professional education challenges, non-communicable diseases, infectious disease surveillance, dental materials and innovations, and advances in healthcare. Participants will be faculty, students, professionals from medical, dental, pharmacy, physiotherapy and nursing domains. Additionally, startup companies in the field of health care are likely to participate.

Pre-conference workshops / CMEs will be offered that are designed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals. These workshops will cover areas such as robotic surgery, systematic review and meta-analysis, cadaver-based surgical training, and transplantation sciences.
