Overview of NAMS and its History

The National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS India), established in 1961, is the premier Medical Academy in India which fosters and utilises the academic excellence of outstanding clinicians to promote excellence in medical education and skills, policy initiatives and advocacy.

The National Academy of Medical Sciences Conference – NAMSCON, is an annual conference organized by the NAMS in India. The conference is aimed at bringing together medical professionals and researchers to share knowledge and expertise on the latest developments in the field of medicine. The primary objectives of NAMSCON are to promote excellence in medical research, education, and healthcare delivery in India. The conference provides a platform for medical professionals to discuss and debate the latest research findings and their implications for healthcare delivery in India. It also aims to encourage collaborations and partnerships among medical professionals and institutions, both nationally and internationally. In addition to the scientific sessions, NAMSCON also includes workshops, symposia, and panel discussions on a wide range of topics related to medicine and healthcare. The conference provides an opportunity for medical professionals to learn about the latest technological advances and innovations in the field of medicine and to explore new approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. Overall, NAMSCON is an important event for the medical community in India, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and the promotion of excellence in medical research and healthcare delivery. This year, NAMSCON is being held in Bangalore, at the M S Ramaiah Medical College on 6th, 7th & 8th of October 2023.

63rd Convocation and Annual Scientific Conference of the National Academy of Medical Sciences NAMSCON 2023

Every year, the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), organises Annual Conference in which the NAMS Fellowships, Orations and Awards are bestowed. The Eminent National Medical professionals, Presidents of National Professional organisations and National academies are also invited. Plenary sessions are also held on various current and important issues.

The 63rd Convocation and Annual Scientific Conference of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), is being organised from 6th to 8th October 2023 at Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru.

This conference will cover a wide range of important health domain areas including digital health innovations, health and professional education challenges, non-communicable diseases, infectious disease surveillance, dental materials and innovations, novel drug delivery systems, rehabilitations, and advances in healthcare.

In addition to the conference, pre-conference workshops will be offered that are designed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals. These workshops will cover areas such as robotic surgery, grants writing, cadaver-based surgical training, and transplantation sciences.

The field of healthcare is constantly evolving and it is crucial that our faculty and students stay up-to-date with the latest advances and innovations. This conference is aimed at providing a platform for all health care professionals and other stakeholders to come together and share the advances in health care delivery meeting global challenges.
